Nick Stevens (he/him)

Nick Stevens is a vocalist (tenor) and voice teacher based in Seattle, with over 15 years of experience singing, and nearly a decade of experience teaching voice to students.

Nick began his musical journey as an instrumentalist, having played clarinet, alto sax, and bassoon, and as a freshman in high school he found himself singing in the chorus of Pirates of Penzance, which introduced him to the world of theater and singing. After several years of choir, plays, and musicals, Nick decided to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at Pacific Lutheran University, where he had the opportunity to study voice and opera, as well as to sing in the renowned Choir of the West. After graduating from PLU in 2018, Nick moved to Portland, OR, where he lived and sang professionally for two years before moving to Indiana University to earn his Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance.

Throughout his many years as a singer, Nick has had the opportunity to perform multiple significant stage roles, such as the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera, Orpheus in Jacques Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld, and Fenton in Giuseppe Verdi’s opera Falstaff.

Today, Nick is a prolific singer in the Puget Sound area and performs frequently with local groups such as Puget Sound Concert Opera, Vashon Opera, Seattle Bach Choir, Harmonia, and many more. Tailoring lessons to meet the needs of every student, Nick coaches many styles of singing including, but not limited to, western classical, musical theater, and pop (CCM).

When he is not singing, Nick enjoys reading, working out, playing video games, and spending time with his guinea pigs, Fenton and Francis.
